When William Darcy suffers a sudden health crisis, he immediately realizes two things: his sister will continue to nag him about his nonexistent social life, and he won’t stand for it. How can he possibly escape Georgiana’s good intentions or the watchful gaze of Aunt Catherine, his assigned babysitter? Cue a midnight getaway to the tackiest place he can think of. Lounge singers, booze, and women of loose moral fiber—Las Vegas, here he comes!
Elizabeth Bennet lives a quiet life as a UNLV student and a popular cocktail waitress in one of the nicer casinos in town. Though content to see her best friend, Thad, in a blissfully happy relationship, she has no desire to complicate her own life with what will undoubtedly result in a broken heart. Then she serves a drink to a devastatingly handsome Englishman, and all bets, as they say, are off.
This is a modern what-if of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. It is intended for an adult audience.

For the third stop on the The Sweetest Ruin blog tour, I have Ms. Amy George! Thanks for visiting!
Good morning, Nissa, and thank you for inviting me to visit with your readers at Of Pens and Pages. It’s a pleasure to be here with you to share my new book, The Sweetest Ruin, with your readers. As a JAFF reader, I am sure you’ve read many books that transport Darcy and Elizabeth to a contemporary setting, and my modern JAFF story has them meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Music is primal. It pulls something out of our souls and can make or break us. Think of the worst moment of your life. Was there a song playing? Can you listen to that song now? Or the best moment? Doesn't that song make you smile and warm you all over, like you're standing in the sunshine?
I am thrilled to share with your readers a Spotify playlist that I made to set the stage for The Sweetest Ruin. It’s also a great collection of songs to listen to when you want to revisit the characters in my story. It includes [both] Elvis and Frank naturally, but also some songs that I think tell the story of these characters meeting and falling in love. Please enjoy!
Readers may enter the drawing by tweeting once each day and by commenting daily on a blog post or review that has a giveaway attached to this tour. Entrants must provide the name of the blog where they commented.
Each winner will be randomly selected by Rafflecopter and the giveaway is international. Each entrant is eligible to win one eBook.
This blog tour would not be possible without Claudine Pepe of Just Jane 1813, Meryton Press, and Amy George. Thank you for inviting me! Check out the full blog tour schedule below:
