Monthly Round-Up: September 2016

I had a wonderful book blog month, but the last week was one of the most painful of my new adult life.

It is with a heavy heart I share with you that I lost a good friend to cancer. It was a swift battle of less than two weeks. We never got to say goodbye, and we never got to say I love you for the last time. So, I’d like to dedicate a few moments here for my friend, Stephen Velez. He was a good man and was one of the smartest and most-hardworking of my friends. He cheered me on when I started blogging in college, and he inspired me to strive harder into becoming a better person. To my fellow bibliophile, my Esteban, you will always be in my heart. Rest in peace.

On a more positive note, I had a blast reading a ton of books this month (reviewed a total of 19 books!!!) and celebrated September with a few Pride and Prejudice variations. I’m already planning a busier P&P month for next year haha

I will be sending a message to the winners of the top modern P&P giveaway, so yes. By now I’m probably walking around Japan and jumping around like a little kid. Spending the next two weeks in my dream country!

What are your plans this October? I have a few anticipated reads coming out next month, and I’m already buzzing from excitement!

Happy reading, everyone! Hope you have a wonderful October!
