From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.
THESE ROYALS WILL RUIN YOU...
Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.
What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.
Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.
SHE MIGHT BE RIGHT.
Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
This book is everything I expected and more. I love it. I loved it the first time I read it, and loved it even more the second time around.
Man, Elle and Jen really do keep their word that the Royals will ruin us. If Paper Princess killed me, Broken Prince eliminated any chances of reincarnation.
Paper Princess was told purely in Ella’s point of view, but in Broken Prince, we are given a chance to see some things in Reed’s eyes—why he did the things he did, what really happened, what’s going on with his family.
The story follows right after Paper Princess when Ella ran away. No one knows what happened to her and where she’s been, and her disappearance has taken a toll on the Royal family. The balance they seemed to have found because of Ella was taken from them, and I suppose the loss was a bit too much.
Broken Prince is as gripping as Paper Princess, but deeper and darker. We see the aftermath of Ella’s disappearance, the true colors of some of the characters, some of the mysteries in the first book, and a deeper connection between Ella and Reed.
Ella reluctantly returns to the Royals after being found, but this time, the ease she had with them is no longer there. She tells herself that the Royals are her enemies; the prison guards in her life in Royal prison. But despite her conviction to keep her heart untouched, the Royal boys just can’t stop creeping back into her heart. Reed, especially.
Sweet, sweet Reed. Sometimes I don’t know if I want to kiss him or punch him in the face. He’s every bit of alpha you can find in a man, and when an alpha wants something, he will do everything in his power to get it. And Reed wants Ella back.
