Feel Me Break

Genre: New Adult, Contemporary Romance, Novella

My Rating:

Chloe Reed and Nick Grayson couldn’t have more different lives. Where Chloe had a bleak future and was trying to deal with a loss that had left a hole in her heart, Nick was a happy-go-lucky guy, leading a carefree life with a path set.

Until one fateful night, they met and everything changed. The night that gave Chloe hope for the future, left Nick scarred for life. Was their meeting a one-off tryst or was their story just beginning?

My Thoughts:

You saved me that night, Nick. So let me save you.”

In a serendipitous moment, two strangers from wholly different backgrounds meet and will change both their lives forever.Chloe Reed has been carrying the burden of her family’s issues and, in a moment of complete vulnerability, wanted to end her life. Nick Grayson, a boy from an affluent family and a good life, drives by where she is and inevitably saves her life.

That moment changed Chloe’s life for the better, but it also changed Nick’s life for the worst.

The two don’t see each other for years, but in another twist of fate, the two meet again in Toronto, and the connection they felt when they first met was just as palpable, just as strong.

This novella is a prequel to Tara R.’s story, Watch Me Rise. It’s a gripping start that makes me itch to read the rest of the story. I want to know what happens next to Chloe and Nick, and how they help each other move on from their pasts.

I admit I’m not a fan of insta-love, which is what kind of happens between the two, but the story was emotional and painful and I feel for them both. I want to take care of them, since obviously no one else will.

The story has quite the potential, and I look forward to reading Chloe and Nick’s main story soon.
